[floatl]Image[/floatl]Channelnewsasia: Football assistant coach returns to Japan after disappearing act
The assistant coach at Albirex Niigata Football Club, who returned to the club safe and sound on Sunday after disappearing for nearly a month, has gone back to Japan. Yuki Kawana came to Singapore on January 10 this year to join Albirex Niigata. Kawana's roommate last saw him at 1pm on March 12. Yugo Kinoshita, Albirex Niigata FC's Managing Director, "We didn't have any clue to conclude that something happened to him or that he's running away"...When Kinoshita contacted Kawana's parents in Tokyo, they told the club "not to worry" and that Kawana had been in touch with them. They added that it was not the first time Kawana made a disappearing act. He went missing for 10 days in Japan two years ago, until police found him driving about 500 kilometres from his home...This time in Singapore, he felt his command of English was not good enough...The club said during the time he was missing, Kawana was wandering around the streets, sleeping in parks and taking his baths at public swimming pools.
