Hideki Matsui, whose every move is watched closely by the Japanese media, managed to escape the spotlight and get married without anybody knowing about it...Nobody was more surprised to learn of Matsui's off-day doings than Derek Jeter. During a press conference, one reporter asked Matsui if he planned to encourage Jeter, also a lifelong bachelor, to get married.
