Final Four

Postby canman » Sun Apr 05, 2009 10:10 am

For any or all of you Final Four fans you can watch all the live action on CBS's site. The feed is really good, no pauses or anything. I just came back from Canada and have been enjoying watching the games, and thought that I wouldn't be able to watch them here, but low and behold, CBS didn't block anybody from watching the games. Next up Villa Nova and UNC. Michigan State just took out UConn.

Next game starts at 10:21 japan time UNC and Villa Nova. I would like to see the Tar Heels lose, just to see Hansbro, walk off the court a loser like he is. Sorry I just really don't like the guy. And a Michigan State Villa Nova final would be great, two underdogs fighting it out for the championship.

I'm with you on hoping for a 'Nova upset of UNC. But I would have preferred to see UConn beat MSU to set up an all-Big East final.

The refs will put Hansbro at the line ALL NIGHT, though.

Some of us are busy with the Adelaide rugby sevens:

In what other sport can the Cook Islands play the U.S. and win?

Thanks for the heads up on CBS.com, canman. I was watching on channelsurfing.com which wasn't bad, but the clarity of CBS put it to shame.

Alas, with Vanillanova down by 16 midway through the 1st half, I think there pretty much out of it.

Have faith Gilligan, they have it down to 9 at the half, who knows. Michigan pulled it off. By the way I have a book for you, that I am almost finished, it is called the best 100 hockey arguments. It is by a Canadian radio show host, and he makes some good arguments. PM me your address and I'll send it to you when I've finished it.
As I mentioned I just came back from Canada, and man do I miss good sports TV. I got to see the WBC on ESPN and it was great to hear to professional announcers calling the game. Gary Horn and Rick Sutcliffe did a great job. No bias just called it like they saw it. I guess it wasn't like that here was it.
Now if only I could get some hockey games online just like this.

I guess you could say You've Been in Japan Too Long when you have started to forget about how big this is back home.

It's kind of like the Koshien here I guess.

This is one of the put downs of the WBC for US sports fans. March madness is more to their liking, which the Japanese are completely unable to understand, given the lack of popularity of round ball here.
