I am sooo confused, doesn't anybody else here notice a Japanese bodybuilder familiar to the FG,

From a purely photographic perspective the coloring tends to help to show the bodies definition and overall contour better, especially if you are a professional photographer or in this case a body builder.

I understand why they've got all that fake tan stuff on, but I don't get why they had to pick such a horrible color.

The hyper tan is to bring out definition. Personally, I feel the Japanese lady body builders are prettier than their Western counterparts... in these pics the ladies are in competition mode which makes them grimace and look a bit scary. But in some interviews I've seen the ladies aren't too bad when relaxed. Also, contrary to popular belief not all of them totally lose their tatas... apparently the the breasts can still remain with muscle development. Of course regular J-ladies often don't have breasts to begin with so perhaps bad point.
