I'm pleased to see she's not just putting fame/$$$ first and willing to pull out of tournaments in protest, etc. It got a bit of coverage in Japan and helped people understand what black lives matter is about.
Wangta, why are you downplaying the struggle of black people in the US or even comparing with Jews? Slavery, Jim Crow, sundown towns, lynching, separate but equal, redlining, mass incarceration- our darker brothers and sisters have had a lot to overcome since they were forcibly taken to America compared to any other ethnicity.

Eventually we'll get there, unfortunately, I think the current far left push is going to result in a swing further to the right than I'm comfortable with.
Exposing the rapid degeneration of Japan due to globalism and those actively subverting it
The American gymnast Simone Biles, the biggest star at the Tokyo Olympics and the greatest athlete in the sport’s history, last night walked away from the women’s team competition after admitting she had “freaked out in a high stress situation”.
In dramatic and unprecedented scenes at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre, Biles then talked powerfully and bravely about the mental health challenges of elite sport - before admitting that she hoped that speaking out would have an even more seismic effect than winning multiple gold medals.
“ I feel like I’m also not having as much fun. This Olympic Games I wanted it to be for myself but I came in and I felt like I was still doing it for other people."
It hurts my heart that doing what I love has been kind of taken away from me to please other people.”

She was beat pretty convincingly but still young enough to have more shots. I wish her nothing but success but I am happy we're being spared 3 years of "Yappari Nihon Tennis ga nambaaa wan!" over a superstar that was pushed out of the country as a child by racism within her own Japanese family, grew up and trained overseas, and who most Japanese can't relate to, let alone communicate with. I keep seeing her referred to as "Japanese American" but if she's now a Japanese citizen, doesn't that make her "American Japanese" or just "Japanese?" Financially speaking, I'm not so sure it was the wisest decision ever to take the Japanese citizenship route. I wonder if she plans to actually learn Japanese or live here? It feels kinda empty without her at least learning to speak Japanese.

Not that I want to shame her as I'm sure the pressure was immense and anyone could crack under that....but if you really want to set an example to others....how about seeking and then openly talking about the mental support (therapy) needed to compete at this level? Unfortunately, she also comes across as more as a clueless and entitled narcissist than a "brave" hero for "speaking out."“ I feel like I’m also not having as much fun. This Olympic Games I wanted it to be for myself but I came in and I felt like I was still doing it for other people."
Maybe decide not to compete in the Olympics if competing while representing a country is just not your thing? It's kinda in the job description. If your goal is to have fun and the personal enjoyment of gymnastics with only yourself to answer to, Olympic competition seems like the exact opposite direction in the pursuit of that.It hurts my heart that doing what I love has been kind of taken away from me to please other people.”
Taken away from her? I suppose if you refuse to accept you have any control in your life, you can deny responsibility for anything than "happens to you."
