I was floored by this nugget of information on the news last night.

The police actually rummaged through the guy's garbage in search of bodily excretions.

Of course that begs the question: how could they know for sure that said bodily excretions were actually his? He might have had a party! Of course they were watching the door as well, but still.

I wonder what motivated to go after the guy? That does seem like they were out to nail him. If they thought he was dealing, I get it...but seems like a lot of effort to nail a simple abuser.

I think the idea is that celebs are opinion-leaders who have a large impact on society, so if one of 'em gets out of line they come down on them harder than they would on Average Joe. Celebs make great examples.

If you can ever find some old video of Katsu Shintaro handling the media after he was arrested in Hawaii for trying to smuggle weed and cocaine in his underwear, it's hilarious. He gave no fucks and didn't apologize. Of course he wasn't facing jail time in Japan.

I never understood the popularity of college style drinking among the office workers here. They claim it reduces their stress but science has proven that idea to be not only wrong but has shown the exact opposite, it makes one more stressed. If the government cut off all booze at 11 pm productivity would probably increase in Tokyo.
