This board is getting soooo boring. Shizuka Arakawa, arguable the nicest looking lady in figure skating wins a gold medal and not even a single post regarding her achievement. She is Porcelain Arakawa because she is so elegant and flawless in her movements. But no... bot worth a discussion post on FG.

While I open up this post, Suguri should have won silver. I don't know how you fall on your bums not once but twice and end up winning a silver medal like Sasha Cohen. The judges were doing all they can to make Cohen and the Russian lady win. They must have been so pissed when Arakawa skated so well because they had no longer a choice, she had won the gold medal despite their effort.

You must not have watched TV yesterday. Every news broadcast had her arrival shoot. They must have had five hours of it through the day! Some even showed the canned shots of her winning skate (barf, it's getting old), the usual J-gold medal coverage! But, again, she's all they've got to show for Turin!

I did not see the coverage. I'm in Canada. We won 24 medals but no one is talking about those. What they are talking about here is how come the hockey team didn't even make it to a medals. I'd rather see Shizuka's face on TV all day long than Wayne Gretzky's.

Check the two threads AO posted. There have been several members crying in their pints over the poor hockey performance what should have been a great performance by a good Canadian team. However, out of concern for their feelings, I won't mention Dimwit's and Canman's names.

It could have been worse, Bode Miller could have been born in Toronto!

Me to - i could of sworn she was a half at least. Maybe she has some chinese in her but the Japanese media are covering it up because you know, people are only gaijins when they do bad things..........

There is one thing I certainly don't like about gaijins is the constant whining about how they are treated.

This was an ignorant comment to make because Arakawa is Japanese, not Chinese, and suggesting that the media would not play her up if she was gaijing... get a life lady.

The only sleazebags I see in Japan are gaijins and that's a fact. Not all gaijins are sleazeback but 1oo% of "SB" are gaijin. Get over it.

Man Jack if you like her so much start a fan club or join an existing one, sure shes in the news now but in a week or so she'll be forgotten. Its not her fault she is getting all this attention because she was the only medal winner.

Now, about my obession with the so-called princess, well, it's not an obsession, I just thought she skated so well and I was happy that a Japanese finally won a medal. She looked nice enough so I guess it could not have happened to a better person. Nuf said. My earlier post was not abotu whether or not she is Chinese or Japanese, for I wouldn't give a lesser fuck which, she is hot and Asian, that's good enough for me. My point was the whining about the fact that she must really be a Japanese because if she were not she would not get all this positive attention crap that I read somewhere.
