Tokyo fears Obama

I think they might be right to worry about it.

Besides Obama's support, Chicago is actually a very nice city (except parts of the south side). I live in Dallas, but visit my Dad in Chicago regularly. I'm always amazed by how nice the downtown area is. It completely blows away any other American city. Even without Obama's help, Tokyo would have a real challenge beating out Chicago.

Chicago has wonderful restaurants and is easy to travel in because of the trains. I'd love to visit it again.

Aren't we a little ahead of ourselves here? What makes you think Obama will carry on into his second term?

The IOC will name the 2016 host city next October, so barring any crazed yahoos or leftover pretzels, Obama will be in office to speak up for his home city if he wants.
I have a blog. Last update: August 18, 2013.

You would be wrong.

Now San Fran is a really nice city. I'll grant you that. But the cost of living is wayyy too steep. Same goes for NYC. The downtown areas are all comparable. NYC does have that glitz/glamor thing going for it though.

Boston is nice too, but not as nice as Chicago. I do love the harbor area though. Big ass windmill and all.

Unless safety is an issue:
Chicago Once Again The US "Murder Capital"
Chicago is the Second City in nickname and the third in population, but when it comes to murder, the city has the dubious distinction of being second to no city in America.
As CBS 2's Mike Puccinelli reports, the Chicago Sun-Times pointed out on Friday that Chicago has seen 426 homicides this year through Tuesday, compared with 417 in New York and 302 in Los Angeles.

Yeah, compared to a shithole suburban sprawl like Dallas Chicago is nice, but it eats NY and SF's balls.
