NTV Apologizes For Mao Asada Interview "Misrepresentation"

Above, NTV apologize for broadcasting the following clip of the medal ceremony after Mao Asada's recent win:

In the clip, Mao Asada, Miki Ando and Kim Yu-Na are asked if they are friends. They look embarassed but, prompted by Ando, they nod their heads.

At the end of the clip, however, NTV drew attention to the question but edited in a more enthusiastic reply from Asada:

In the apology, NTV says that the enthusiastic response was to a separate question about being friendly with Ando.

It seems a bit of a storm in a teacup. To call it a fabrication is too much given that NTV actually showed the real response prior to their edit. It's not as if the girls all said "no" to the question anyway. Sure, NTV shouldn't have edited it that way but there I'm sure there are more grievous mistakes than this to worry about.
