Yesterday saw the 17th All-Japan Goldfish Scooping Championship held in Yamatokoriyama in Nara. As you can see from the video above, there are strict rules governing the competition: scooping up the walls is forbidden, there are limits on the positions you can take around the tank, etc. There are age group and team play divisions but the winner of the solo category this year managed a record 87 fish in three minutes.
