I had to work today, but wanted to see the Rangers vs Orioles game with Darvish pitching, so I set my TV's recorder to BS1 and stayed away from the Internet and all TV and radio! Finished work and turned the tube to to watch the game. Immediately, from the beginning you could see that even though NHK was using the TBS feed, the had their own cameras, solely focused on Darvish, so anytime TBS showed a replay or talked to their sideline reporter, we got to watch close ups of Darvish, who pitched a good game! The game was quite good and I was really getting into it, then suddenly in the top of the 9th inning with the Orioles threatening to break open the game, the recording just ended as for some reason NHK decided to move the game to channel 102, but my recorder didn't switch, so I missed the end of the game! What a crappy thing to do, damn NHK sometimes really pisses me off!

Great coverage again today! They have the volume so low for the English announcers, you can't hear what either Cal Ripkin or John Smoltz are saying! Don't they monitor what they put on the air?

Non-stop! If and when Kuroda pitches, we may never see any of the other players with all the attention he and Ichiro will get! They should run the game on 2 channels, one focusing on the exploits of the Japanese players, and the other the rest of the players!
I read today that this past weekend was considered on of the best sports weekend in Japanese sports. Ishikora won the Japan Open, and the Japanese driver finished 3 rd in the Japan Grand Pris.
Really, 3rd place in a F1 race, and winning a tennis tournament without 4 of the best players in the world is considered the greatest sports weekend!

BTW, thanks for letting me know there are other players in MLB other than Japanese. I'd heard a rumor MLB was played in North Merkin, but hadn't seen any gaijin on the local telly, so I wasn't entirely sure...
