Japan Hires American as National Men's Volleyball Coach

The Japan Volleyball Association appointed an American, Gary Sato, to lead its men’s national team. Sato, 58, a former assistant with the United States men’s team, is the first foreign coach of either Japan’s men’s or women’s national team.
