You'ze not gonna care...

But I finally bought me a imperial sized allen key-set in Tokyu hands... and can now repair my Thrustmaster Rudder Control system... that I damaged... in 1998...

(I think I need to go out sometimes, and have friends... yeah... maybe I should try dat')

You didn't buy a new rudder set?

Thrustmaster don't make them anymore, the saitek one look like they escaped from star trek TNG, or to be honest... like if they were designed as cheap props for a porno movie with a spaceship theme.

BUT supposedly in 6 days logitech will come up with a new set HOTAS+rudder that look mighty good and with the proper shape to fly helos. Something that is impossible with the current cougar...

I now return to insane discussions with my cats and shouting at the clouds that ruined the eclipse...

(I don't know why but I am today in a state of confusion that I can barely describe, it's either the weather or my frozen BigMac-icecream that I found on the bottom of the freezer yesterday)

I have the saitek ones, maybe a bit spacey but do the job fine.
Need to get a new set up too....CH or saitek again...plus I want to try TrackIR. All costs too much unfortunately....

Yeah TrackIR make me drool too... especially for sims like blackshark. The Coolie hat on the hotas is better than left/right keys... but for helos... you spend your time looking around, especially now with those fancy shmancy 3d cockpits... (wuz much more simple for Microprose F19 back in 89'). But even rFactor is much more demanding for L/R viewing than... anything else before... especially for cars were the side mirrors are not even viewable in the center view...

But the price... 174 euros for the V5... I need a newer Hotas first...

Meanwhile I was looking at this:

Software interface with all sims as trackIr compatible. For the hardware... it's up to your skills...

That looks interesting. A coat hanger, 4 leds, old mobile phone charger and Bob's your uncle. Going to give it a try.

I wish I had a Thrustmaster Cougar and Track IR to play Falcon 4.0, but... I have no idea what that means.

(kidding. I don't have the money and my current joystick works fine.)

Maybe, but I got mine for around 340Yens a full set... Thats kinda sorta a good price... especially considering it was in Tokyu Hands.

I have been one for ages. Not so much these days since well, sims are my job now and I fly big, expensive sims anytime I want to. FSX sort-of pales in comparison... ;)

It's exciting to learn new types though... I am in the beta test team for a new FSX A320 simulation and trying to learn the F16 in case I get a ride on an RNLAF viper (sim or real) someday :drool5:
