Actually, I got lucky. NTT says speeds here are 1G up and down "or best effort". No one around me has internet, shit most people out here don't even have a computer. I am lucky enough to have solo access to the neighborhood hub so no other users are blocking up the network. Sometimes it is 200 and sometimes it is 100. I NEVER see anything above 200 which leads me to believe NTT is full of shit.

I can't rely on Speedtest.net as I am apparently too far away from any kind of recognized server to get real results.
I live in BFE Fukuoka, but it sees the closest server for testing as being in Nagoya.

My real upload speed is much faster than this (I FTP data to clients all the time at much higher speeds).
I find that Japan-based 速度.jp is more accurate (and you tell it your location, ISP etc.).
