flotsam wrote:funny, i take a piss in every onsen i go to and they always let me in. never a problem. yet this debuto cunt has a japanese passport and doesn't get in. i think there's a lesson in there for all of us. i should add that i take a piss whether there's a korean girl in there or not. it's just a personal policy.

As an African-American I've seen and dealt with the ugliness of racism here in the U.S., but I don't think about it unless it stops me from what I want to do.
Otherwise I ignore it.

drpepper wrote:LOL You two are merely ignorant of the discrimination around you. Ever have people point fingers? Move out of the seat next to you? Not to mention all of the great service that you never got cause you didn't know any better. Just because you are unaware of it doesn't mean it isn't rampant cause it is. People talk about racism in the U.S. .. well I have seen far more of it here (nobody shooting at niggaz in the hood here thus less obvious) then I ever did back home in L.A. (where we had race riots..). The more you speak the language and learn the subtlties of the culture etc.. it becomes all the more apparent. I know lots of "gaijin" working at companies.. but they are on special contracts and don't get promoted or the guranteed benifits of the 'regular' kaishain. I have been turned away from stores and apartments. Not a big problem in that you are not going to get shot but definetaly apparent if you don't have your head buried in the sand.

The way I see it, nothing I have to deal with is as bad as the treatment of Asians in my own country.
