Actually from what I've read elsewhere this guy shouldn't be taken seriously as he's just sending up the fanboy communities and not, bat-shit insane as it first appears. I believe Kotaku.com have showcased a few of his videos before in the past. Anyway, like Cortana I'm going to grab this badboy for the 360. Whether or not I play it though is another matter entirely...

Apparently this guy is bigwig at somethingawful.com, so it should be taken as a joke.
But I thought FFXIII was still a PS3 exclusive in Japan, while being multiplatform everywhere else..

the offending act was that Square Enix has decided to publish their latest iteration of the final fantasy series (Final Fantasy XIII) for both the xbox 360 and PS3 at launch in a few months time.
While I believe that first final fantasy game started out eons ago on the NES famicon, it has been a Sony flagship title since Final Fantasy XII on the PS1. While some version has ended up on various non-sony platforms (notably on the GBA and DS), typically they were retreads of games previously released or released years after the they had been first released on a Sony video game system.
At E3 a few weeks ago, Square basically shimmied up to MS and gave them a big kiss by announcing Final Fantasy XIII will be available for the 360 on the first day of launch. They even went to the level of of having Square's president annouce this as a 'steve jobs-style-oh-just-one-more-thing' announcement at the end of MS's big E3 press conference.
So, for some diehard Sony fans, this was like your girlfriends calling you up and saying she still still likes you as friend but wants to see other people. For the last decade or so, if you wanted to play the latest Final Fantasy game, you had to have a Sony device. Now this is not the case.
But from what I've read, this is only happening outside of Japan (ie, the part of the world where the 360 does reasonably well) and its still going to be exclusively on the PS3 in Japan.
