Microsoft announced they will release two new models of Xbox in Japan in the next two months. First is the Xbox Pure White Limited Edition, which is for celebrating Xbox's 2nd anniversary in Japan. The machine will be sold directly from Microsoft's XboxPlayTogether.com website between January 30 - February 6, for 19800 yen. Only 1000 units will be available, you can request to print a free customized message on the system, up to 20 characters.



The second model is the Xbox Kasumi-chan Blue, which will be released simultaneously with Dead or Alive Online in Japan on March 25. The Kasumi-chan Blue Limited Edition will have a clear blue case, with a silver jewel and DOA Online logo, a copy of Dead or Alive Online is also included, all for 22800 yen. Only 5000 units will be available.

So if they sell all 6,000 of these limited systems, they'll double their installed base?

Microsoft will release the Xbox Kasumi Bundle Pack in Japan on March 25, for 22800 yen. The Bundle Pack will now include a specially made 160cm Kasumi cushion, as well as the Kasumi Blue Xbox, joypad, Xbox Live with 12 months subscriptions, DVD Playback Kit and a copy of Dead or Alive Online.

I just hope that pillowcase is machine washable.

Kasumi cushion toned down

The bundle caused a stir with some consumers when it was originally announced in February. The package includes a life-size bonus cushion, which originally featured DOA's main female character Kasumi in a revealing swimsuit outfit. The cushion is still being released as a part of the package, but the image of the character has been toned down to her more subtle, default ninja costume.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - An ex-convict who blamed a young woman for taking his video game system and clothes recruited three teenagers to stab and beat her and five others to death, investigators said Sunday.

The 22-year-old woman was singled out for an attack so vicious that even dental records were useless in trying to identify her. Some of the victims were attacked in their sleep, according to authorities.
