VIENNA — U.S. computer giant Microsoft Corp Chairman Bill Gates has expressed interest in buying Japan's Nintendo Co, the German economic weekly Wirtschafts Woche reported in its electronic edition on Wednesday.
Gates revealed his interest at a meeting of economic analysts in the United States. The magazine quoted Gates as saying he would immediately make an offer if Nintendo is ready to sell itself. If Hiroshi Yamauchi, the biggest shareholder of Nintendo and its adviser, calls, "he will be directly transferred to me," Gates said. (Kyodo News)
