With the 50th anniversaries of weekly comics "Shonen Magazine" and "Shonen Sunday" coming up next year, Uniqlo yesterday started selling a line of manga T-shirts. They will release new versions each Wednesday, which is also the publication day for the comics, for a year. Altogether there will be 80 designs with multiple characters by the same artist released together. The shirts go for 1500 yen each - 1000 yen for children's sizes - and are available at Uniqlo stores nationwide as well as on their website and stores overseas.

Some of them don't look too bad.
I broke a mirror this morning, which means I should be getting 7 years of bad luck - but my lawyer says he can get me 5.

I bought 2 today. TIGA MASKU and the robot from Chromomate high school. UNI QLO XL tshirts are the only ones that fit me in japan and they fit better than any in the U.S. where I wore a L and sometimes M.

If anything from Tezuka is released i will be all over them.

NewYork-Tokyo: Uniqlo Showcases Manga Shirts in Soho
Japan based fashion institution UNIQLO, known for simple and affordable clothing as well as a diverse collection of graphic T-shirts, has just launched a massive new display in their Soho store dedicated to their line of manga inspired shirts. This is not just some token nod to the daily expanding manga phenomenon in the US, but a truly informed and deeply realized tribute to the diversity of manga straight from its native country...more..
