Asahi: Anime, manga to teach Japanese
The Japan Foundation, a government-affiliated body set up to promote cultural exchange, has opened an English-language website that helps users better understand Japanese expressions used in manga and anime. "Japanese in Anime & Manga" carries expressions used in four genres--love, school, ninja and samurai--and by eight typical characters. A vocabulary quiz is available for three levels of proficiency.
