The fun ones are the guys won't even show non-anime picture of themselves. Guess they figured they wouldn't win the Miss Congeniality prize.

I'd say the best cure for a self-proclaimed "otaku" is to have them actually live in Japan - somewhere in bumfuck inaka (ex. where the train stations are rare and trains only come by once an hour or longer) should be suitable...

Not to worry, fellow FGs; it's highly unlikely that they'd figure out the correct technique for human-on-human procreation. E.G. Tentacles don't lead to pregnancies.

Too, they'd be so shocked at seeing unenhanced naked human bodies that they'd run from each other, shocked and screaming.

I don't know what inaka is... But honestly... The deeper the countryside the more I -stop hating- japan. Had to go to Nagoya yesturday... immediately had trouble breathing, not because of pollution, just claustrophobia. The small talks between coutryside people can be endless.
before Paris my family was from Verdun, which is a small eastern city famous worldwide for... having been bombed to hell and back during WWI, (the land was looking like the surface of the moon, but with more dead bodies everywhere), to an extend that French and German army decided to agree on making it a non combat zone during WWII since it was technically a gigantic cemetery. Indoor plumbing is still somewhat of a novelty there...

You don't really have to worry about them multiplying, if these otaku are anything like the ones that inhabited my Japanese language classes in college then most of them are gay. Personally, I think the best way of scaring them away from Japanese anime culture is sending them to Akihabara and have them look at the guys waiting in line for the maid cafes.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

They can't be true otaku women listed there...their ages are all in double figures (and they're real, as opposed to be some sort of virtual reality like a cushion or pillow shaped like a twat or something).

Man Marries Pillow
metro.co.uk 9th March, 2010--
Lee Jin-gyu fell for his 'dakimakura' - a kind of large, huggable pillow from Japan... his beloved pillow has an image of Fate Testarossa, from the 'magical girl' anime series Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
Now the 28-year-old otaku...has wed the pillow in a special ceremony, after fitting it out with a wedding dress for the service in front of a local priest...more...

Is he somehow betraying Korea for marrying a Japanese 'lady'?

That's me with the awesome glasses, making friends, finding love. Or is it making love, finding friends? Looking for love in all the wrong places, looking for love in too many faces? Anyway, dig the cetaceans in the back. And as you dig, you should take a moment to reflect upon the tragedy that is The Genocide of the Bangable American Chick. As recently as twenty years ago, if memory serves, most American chicks were slim, and obesity was the exception. Nowadays, it seems like they've all turned into the People of Walmart. :(

Are anime heads now overtaking trekkies? Or are the trekkies just getting old and dying out?

The line between trekkie and anime nerd is blurring, since they're combining and inter-breeding. Sort of like how it's OK to be a Star Trek and Star Wars fan now.

Perhaps this is a more appropriate device to rid the world of these evils.
