What is the dress standard?
Interac ALTs and LCs must wear business attire while undertaking training, on all teaching assignments, or when visiting the office. Clothing standards in Japan are conservative and professional. For men, a dress shirt, tie, and business style pants are required. For women, a smart professional attire, inclusive of skirts below the knees or business style suits, are required on all Interac Co., Ltd. related business.
What are the working hours?
Most Interac ALTs work 40 hours per week, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The exact working hours will be determined by the school board that the ALT has been assigned to. Apart from attendance at special school events, weekends and public holidays are recognised as days off.
How many lessons will I teach each week?
Most ALTs teach approximately 20-25 lessons per week. The remainder of the working week at the schools is spent lesson planning, meeting with the teachers, and performing other administrative duties.
What is the monthly salary?
Most Interac ALTs qualify for a salary of 250,000 yen (230,000 base salary + 20,000 attendence bonus) per month, before withholding taxes which average 7%. The monthly salary includes an attendance bonus component which is paid in full each month if all professional responsibilities are executed.

I was filling out an online application when my computer popped up a request asking if i wanted to connect to interac.co.jp. Busted! Part of me I guess hopes that things wont suck so much if I applied in Fukuoka....I'm getting sick of explaining to my in-laws that the reason I don't apply to all these jobs is because they are run by fucked companies that abuse workers and are considered the equivalent of jobs cleaning toilets.
