Brit needs advice

Postby chan » Mon Oct 30, 2006 8:48 pm

Wonder if any Brits out there can help. When I got a Japanese driving license a few years ago it was just a matter of translating my British one, filling in forms and having an eyesight test.

I heard that the system has changed slightly and that although I still don't need to sit a driving test, I have to do a small 10 question paper test.

I really don't want to take a day off work, go to the center and then fail the test and have to start over.

1. Is there really a written test?
2. How hard is it?
3. What kind of questions?

If possible, tell me the questions and answers ; - )

Hope I can get a bit of advice on this. Thanks.

I don' t know if the system as changed, but if it has, the embassy web site should have the info you need here. This is the info that I used for my daughter. JAF can translate the license in about ten minutes (if not busy).

Hope this helps.
