Skin Clinic Recommendations

Postby GuyJean » Tue Aug 23, 2005 9:22 am

Hello,

Looking for a skin care clinic in the Roppongi area.. I know every Thursday there's a dermatologist at the International Clinic - http://web-japan.org/nipponia/nipponia5/live.html , but I'd like a place that takes national health insurance.. Worried my adoration for the sun could be damaging..

Thanks in advance,

GJ

You can still see that is Japan as well. If the place is a dermatology/urology clinic you can guess what the place is doing.

I've never been to the dermatologist there but I know the Tokyo Midtown Clinic has English-speaking doctors and accepts NHI.

I found the Hifuka at Jikkei very good. I've used them and do know that they have some Eigo speakers. Also, it isn't that far away from your office. Call me if you want more detailed info...

Thanks guys. Better late than never. ]Roppongi Hills Clinic[/URL], which is pretty modern, and they provide translation for those who struggle with clinical Japanese..

Here is the schedule:

I've heard Tokyo Midtown Clinic is good, but I've never been.

Seriously, for pediatrics, vet, dentist, dermatologist and mecanics if they can't spot the problem by themselves... might aswell go somewhere else...

Sorry, I developped a 6th sense for communicating with drawings. I can't speak for sh1t (beyond atsui ne, o namae wa and a few more). But I have yet to find a context that I was unable to explain with matchsticks characters...

Just share here in case other FG need some info on hospitals.

Thanks to GJ and SJ and Greji for the info, I was considering going to either Midtown or Roppongi until I talked to Greji about Jikei, and I decided to go Jikei. As a first timer there, everything from the begining to the end was smooth and systematic. If one do not have a Shokai-jo / recommendation letter from another hospital or clinic outside, you will have to pay for a first time fee of Yen 3150 which is not covered by Insurance. They also asked me if I wanted an English or Japanese form to fill in, about my conditions (without me asking). The doctor didn't speak English but I have used both English and Japanese and he understood me well. The doctor was quite careful and patient too. One can actually ask for the same doctor again for the follow up visits. The total cost first time was less than Yen4000 (without medication), and it would be much less for the next visit. Anyway I am quite satisfied with their service. Thanks again to everyone here.
