Any advice on where to get discounted Disney Sea tickets?

Time to wine and dine a lemur Disney style (Disney sea and near beer?) and would appreciate any advice on where to get tickets. (or being told "TIJ, there are no discount tickets so don't bother searching!")

There are discount ticket shops - a J-speaker could certainly help you find one near you - but it might not be worth the trouble. Long, loooong ago, when I last went to one (to sell some Sogo gift certificates or some crap), I noticed that they were selling Disney "Resort" tix for something like 95% of full price.

-memories of my one visit to Disney Sea ten-or-so years ago: short, dull rides; the little musicals were surprisingly well done, but still bloody boring, though you appreciate being able to sit down; while I was taking a leak, some young nipponeser walked over to the neighboring urinal and started pissing into it from about a meter away. I figure it was some weird passive/aggressive thing.

5% of a freaking fortune for what you are getting is still a substantial saving. There is no stigma attached to kin-ken shops, I use them all the time for long distance train tickets.

Good News:
Disney Sea serves wine, cocktails, and beer. The Italian restaurant built on a pier jutting into the main lagoon is the prime romantic venue (I spent 2,800yen person for dinner including a bottle of 2Buck Chuck).

Bad-ish News:
Generally, people who work in major Japanese companies get offers for discounted Disney tickets (at Hitachi I used to get offers for 40% off once a year). Ask your Japanese salaryman friends. (There are military disounts too.)

On your own, discounted Disney tickets are tough to find but try those tiny, sleazy tickets discount ticket stores such as Daikokuya, which are everywhere in Tokyo but invisible if you don't read Japanese. They look like this:

It's the shitz but I lost my cushy consulting gig because the earthquake. The parking pads, entrance, sidewalks at the office sank (or rose) one or two meters so the entire Tokyo office moved (to Singapore as a cost-savings measure that they had been considering for several years).

He wasn't asking for your stupid opinion on Japanese people. He was asking where you can get discount tickets for Disney Sea.

http://www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/campaign/shutoken-wd2011.html save Yen1000 per person but only if you are going on weekdays in this month Nov. I think you can purchase in most of the convenient stores (I know Family Mart sells) and you don't need to exchange for entrance pass anymore upon entering the park.

If you are interested, Cirque Du Soleil -ZED (is leaving end of the year) have this "set ticket" cost about Yen10,500/pax for the noon show (regular seats) and it comes with an after 3pm entrance ticket for the Disney park. But you have to use it on the same day and you have to purchase this particular special "set ticket" in advance. (I mean you cannot purchase a normal ticket for ZED and add value later for Disney entrance) http://www.zed.co.jp/tickets/zed+park.php

Zed is awesome. Disney Sea blows. IMHO

My other 2 cents.. be very wary of a Lemur who wants to always go to Disneyland. They have freak and future bunny boiler written all over them. If it is just to get laid, then go forth and be the bunny. But never, ever consider anything more serious with a Disney fan.

Nicely put. Words to live by, fellas. You'll certainly get to know the limits of her conversational ability after standing in line with her for multiple 30-minute stretches.

Catone, mi habla japppponeeeze dayo. I can read enough Kanji to read those discount ticket shops but I've never bought anything from them before. The lazy eyed grandma workin' the counter has made me keep my distance. What's the dealio with them, tickets with restrictions at a discount or? How do I rough em up for more discount Taro?

GomiGirl wrote:Zed is awesome. Disney Sea blows. IMHO

Haven't seen Zed yet. Disney Sea, been several times and every god damn time that journey to the center of the earth ride is broken. I like it because it's different than disneyland. I grew up right next to the original Disneyland in LA and with an annual pass since I was 16, I was there almost daily. (nothing like doing your homework at disneyland haha!) Twas a great place to hook up with friends and meet girls ( in some state of childhood fantasy ecstasy) when we were young. There was a bunch of other stuff to do as well and when a ton of the staff go to your HS, free food/drinks were abound. Anyhow, after all that, I went to Tokyo Disneyland once and it was enough. Smaller version of the original, minus my favorite ride. (the Matterhorn) Then there are the insane crowds/lines/etc. So yeah, Disney Sea is a bit more fun for me.

Ahaha, it was actually my idea since shes never been. I'm no Disney fan boy either and know exactly the nutty type you're talking about. (but damn are they freaks in bed:bukkake: ....pink princess bed with frills and satin pillows and ahhhh, this is why your advice about anything more is well taken)

Discount ticket shops generally source their tickets in two ways: the salarymen Taro referred to or shareholders bring them in to convert the cheap but unwanted tickets they have into cash, or the discount ticket shops buy in bulk from the source and sell them off one by one. They usually have an expiry date and often restrictions to stop you using them in peak times like Year End or Golden Week. Precisely the times the place is too packed to want to go any way. If the restrictions suit your needs, go for it.

Not very important but just want to point out that Regular same day ticket is not Yen8000 but Yen6200, same as a regular advance ticket. Only difference is visitor going without advance ticket run the risk of not able to purchase because they might stop selling the same day ticket on a very peak day.
