What exactly are the benefits to not circumcising your newborn son? Cosmetic/sensitivity reasons aside - it only seems to add the chance of diseases and make it harder to clean. Why would you not cut off the extra skin? Serious question.

Nothing against circumcision, but the decision should be made by the person being circumcised. A new-born is not able to make an informed decision, reason to postpone it until he is able to. The age of 18 would be a good point.

What are the advantages of not being circumcised? That's for me to know, and for you to guess.

I get the age of consent argument, but an adult undergoing circumcision seems even weirder to me than getting tattoos or piercings. I would probably have any children circumcised; well, not daughters. I ain't no frickin heathen. For those who aren't and never did, fine. It all seems to me to be a very Meddling Class priority, like getting agitated over the fact that there are people that still smoke even though they're not doing it near you, or giving more than a passing shit about the dolphin hunt.
