So seems like the J-gov is pushing towards all these crazy offshore wind power ideas while slowly creeping away from the solar energy focus. (good idea since we know how shitty and unpredictable the weather can be here)
The temple owns a strip of beachfront land that apparently cannot have any buildings of reasonable size built on. (part of a national park or protected land...not clear on the difference but they have rules about what buildings can/can't be built) So rather than let it sit there unused, I have this crazy idea of installing some wind powered turbines there. Does anyone have experience with these in Japan? I know there are a few Japanese companies that sell residential systems and whatnot (and I'll be hitting them up for info soon) but just wanted any general info from any of you regarding permits or whatever paperwork is necessary to stick these in the ground AND connect to the power grid. (and say "fuck you TEPCO)
