Ill bet them reverse vampires are behind this... it may as well be called the "Reverse Vampirification" of America cuz thats what this is all really about... were through the hourglass here people....

It's, like, five years old. And it's silly. Almost as silly as an article that states that Kelly Hu is "in high demand right now" when she's been mostly skating by on TV appearances since X2. (Not that we have anything against the Hu. Oh, no. We likes the Hu...)

No really, I was just trying to make light of the paranoia that gets brought up at every single cultural or commercial success of Japan in America... Where up to like the 100th invasion by now... just the same news again and again...

LOL, I'm just old enough to have watched Amazon Women on the Moon back in the day and remember how "foreign" it was to suggest having sushi on a date back then. :rolleyes: The "invasions" have apparently been working overtime since then...

Yah, and in my opinion thats a lovely thing... So many people seem to have the idea that more diversity in their culture somehow subtracts from it.. I mean wasaaaap is still there... just now u got the option of wasaaabi... (if you were that much of a drone that youd actually walk round quoting commercials anyway)... hell now you have even got the 3rd option of wassssappabbaabi!

You're right, many would consider it to be a breakdown of "traditional values." I use quotes because much of what is considered traditional, such as enka, was merely popular culture 100 years ago. The defense of traditional values is merely the defense of nationalism, "we are unique Japanese people with a unique culture..." wonk wonk wonk.
