Tokyo, the largest city in the world
Thread from NZ
I'm in Tokyo, the largest city in the world and also impressively the safest, cleanest and most polite. If I stand on someone's foot, THEY say sorry, says Kiwi Megan Ruth Jack in Japan...

Actually, I'm surprised at just how free of litter the streets are here because rubbish bins seem to be like 'The Elusive One'. When you stop looking, you find them. I'm still waiting.

Weather is hot and humid. I took a photo of the sky and it looked like a blank canvas, so I probably won't get that one printed. I like to think I saved them by drying them out on the balcony ledge, but I think a bird ate them.

I have met quite a few foreigners working over here in a variety of roles such as English teaching, graphic design and computer programming. I haven't met anyone doing hostessing, but unintentionally got to try it out myself with a 40 year old man from Nagoya. He helped me out with directions to the infamous Shinjuku red-light district, one thing led to another, and before I knew it he paid for me to have a go at the baseball batting range (20 strikes, 7 fouls and 1 homer), and bought me a wine and some tofu lasagne. Very romantic....the rest...
