Does Shanghai copy Tokyo trains?

Postby Taro Toporific » Wed Jan 16, 2013 12:08 pm

According to The Guardian, this photo shows No-Pants-on-the-Subway Day being celebrated on Shanghai subway car with Japanese signage in background.

I can't say whether those signs are in Japanese or not.

If you look carefully, the sign on the platform reads "Line 3/4", which is definitely a route in Shanghai.

My bet is that as China never ever copies anything, JR designers must have teleported into the future to steal the idea for that sign.

I can't discern the writing either but the "Courtesy Seat" logo is pure Japanese.

LOL, at the signage....

The seats on that train reminds me of the back of a police car....all plastic and "easy to hose out since you never know what kind of scum will sit there and do."

You can also find old Parisian Renault bus in Hanoi, Pre-facelift SC10 (Renault-Saviem).
