This being the Grauniad can you be sure this is not just the recipe for a longer wife?

I am also experiencing difficulty in moving to Japan and living in the south of England...

We live in peaceful times, with slow news days.

Given the lifestyle your typical FG lives I wouldn't be surprised if their average lifespan is pretty fucking low.

I've read a zombie novel were they didn't rot after being nuked and lived much longer and healthier...
(by zombies standards anyway)
