Fuji Rock Festival 2006! Yay!

Postby gekisou » Fri Jan 06, 2006 1:51 pm

Hi Guys!

As I am going to Japan this year a few times for business I promised I would take my girlfriend one time (Hey Japan is more fun then business  so fair enough! )

I thought why not go to Fuji Rock Festival!? My sister went last year and said it was aweomse fun.

Only problem is I am wondering who is playing this year? As I dont want to book and find out no decent headliners are going... would be a bit of a bummer to see no bands we know of!

I am also looking at camping there as I thought it would be great fun, anyone else done this?

Come on July!

You won't get a clear picture of the line-up for a while yet. Camping is easy. If you want a nearby hotel, though, you should book it now since they go quickly - some people book them a year in advance.

Hi!

Definately going camping I think its the only way to really enjoy it. Do they have a shower block and all?

I am wondering now though if I should drive or not? I am considering buying a car to drive around while there and up to Niigata. Is it worth it? (I import cars so I would bring it back with me)

The difference this time is I wont be staying at business associates places etc and will be using a hotel/Inn as going with my GF. Do they have parking though at the hotels/inns, and I am assuming if so you need to pay, and how much approx. would it cost me a night for parking? I am planning to stay at cheaper places like business hotels, Ryokans etc. (Bit of a tightarse I am!)

The other option is just to get the JR pass and train it around. This is around $400USD per person though for 2 weeks and not cheap at all! (But it is Japan...)

I love driving in Japan, as you can visit where ever you want and the roads are fun to drive on, just I hate the parking part!

Do they have a JR train that goes near the Ski Grounds for the concert anyway?

Hopefully some one out there can shed some light :)

Thanks!
