[floatr][/floatr]According to Daily Sports (Japanese) members of Sadistic Mika Band reunited for the first time in seventeen years and teamed with vocalist Kaera Kimura for Kirin Beer commercial. The personnel included founder Kazuhiko Kato, whose wife, Mika, was the original vocalist until her affair with Roxy Music producer, Chris Thomas, led to a deterioration in working conditions. Original member Yukihiro Takahashi, better known for his later work with YMO, also took part. Sadistic Mika Band were one of the first Japanese rock bands to win international acclaim:the NME claimed in the early seventies that the band "made Iggy and the Stooges sound like the Amadeus String Quartet"
