Former guitarist with Southern All Stars faces prison sentence over drugs

YOKOHAMA -- Prosecutors on Thursday demanded a former guitarist with the popular band Southern All Stars be sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for illegal drug use.

Takashi Omori, 49, from Yokohama, a former member of Southern All Stars, admitted to the allegations during his trial at the Yokohama District Court.

Omori stands accused of Cannabis Control Law violations, while his 52-year-old wife has been accused of Stimulants Control Law violations....more...
