UPI: Janet Jackson scraps Japanese tour
U.S. pop star Janet Jackson has canceled five concerts scheduled to take place next month in Japan, her Japanese concert promoter announced. The BBC noted Jackson has performed only 16 dates on the Rock Witchu tour she started last year. The tour marked her first in about seven years. While some 2008 concerts were scrapped due to Jackson falling ill, her cancellations in Japan are being blamed on the global economy, the BBC said. Promoters Kyodo Yokohama said Jackson's Japanese dates are to be rescheduled for later this year and announced in March.

I guess that means the ticket sales were poor or projected to be so.

Time for Janet to call it a career. I'll always remember the Good Times.

I agree! Time to take this woman out to greener pastures. Sad indeed. Ahh, the days of "Rhythm Nation" real good time for music and for cool funkyness. I
remember driving down on Azusa blvd. with the top down on my cabriolet VW driving to the Puente Hills mall singing like a fool.
Those were the days!:D

I reckon the real issue is that her technical team couldn't figure out how to pull off a convincing "wardrobe malfunction" in a kimono.
