weird or cool bits in jpop/rock vids

Postby kotatsuneko » Tue Sep 14, 2004 7:56 pm

just been re watching the 49th kouhaku and saw Namie Amuro singing like a 5 bhat hooker!

she was performing "can we celebrate" and the songwriter, Tetsuya Komuro has a lot to answer for these lyrics:

"can you kiss me tonight? we will love long long time"

also just caught on a kouhaku (ish) theme in the video

Kouhaku No Toki No Nakade by Malice Mizer (which on hearing the opening sounds like a next gen castlevania tune..) theres a nice bit of costume design where one of the dudes has his axe chained to his wrist!

and in Megumi Hayashibara and Masami Okui's video for Kujikenaikara!

one of them is wearing a t-shirt saying "walking is good for the health!"

the scariest freakout rock video i have ever witnessed surely must be:

Yellow Machinegun - Heartache (LIVE Fuji Rock Festival 2000)

it must have been sooo cool (albeit wet) to have seen that performance..!

cheers to everyone over the past year or so that have responded to my plea for suggestions of good japanese music and all the other posts regarding j pop/rock!

anyone see/hear anything good/weird/plain fcked in any j pop/rock vids?
