Musically, as the clip above shows, Flumpool are crushingly banal. Their ultra-formulaic songs sound as if they've been written by a machine, and completely exemplify the super-conformist "aggressive normality" which characterises so much of Japan...more...

As you see in band's engrish interview in the Straits Times video above, Flumpool, a combination of 'four' + 'lump' + 'pool', is nearly impossible for the Japanese group to pronounce.

How about a better anagrams for "four", "lump" and "pool" such as...

The flumpool name taken from the letter "F" from the word "four" (the number of members), added to "lump" (with an intended meaning of "mass") and the word "pool" (with an intended meaning of 合弁 joint management, pooled effort).
In other words, a ‘collective mass of four" better known as a "quartet."
