What I find amusing about that is that the sausage would probably be the safest if it was representing the crash safety of a car.

It's called knäckebröd and it comes from Sweden, much like Volvo and Saab The German in the ad translates to "The safest cars come from France".

Looks like they didn't so much a crash test the sushi as perform a controlled demolition on it. Too bad really...

No, Ninja. Not "vandalize". Crash-testing is about "sacrifice".

"Vandalize" is probably what the disgruntled French factory workers do to their cars on the production line (outraged at having to work 35 hours a week with only 6 weeks holidays a year), . . . which must be why the French have taken to trying to drive food around.

Safety is not something to be taken lightly. But it's a sad indictment when a nation's motorists would rather try and drive a large baguette to the shops than buy a locally made car.
