The play where the outfielder crashes through the fence actually took place in Portland, Oregon. The outfielder was Rodney McCray. Here is the story. Here's the YouTube video.

It was great to see my old mate Gregg Wells (Boomer) run over the catcher at the last of that spot. He took out a couple more of them during his time over here. Good find Mulboyne!

Some of those are insane! I've never seen catchers take such a beating in the pros. Getting hit by bats used to happen to me a lot when I was catcher as a kid but I assumed that sort of thing only happened with clueless kid batters, not pros!
