That Debito clip is absurd. Debito is in Kabukicho and pointing out the sleazy establishments that don't admit foreigners. I suppose it's wrong, and I guess foreigners need a vocal champion to defend their right to get into Japanese stripclubs and live sex shows, but why does Debito have to do it? And it's a completely different issue that the plight of foreign labourers face in Japan.

I actually thought that, on the contrary, he may have toned down a bit since his earlier days. As far as topic material, if you look at his blog, there is not much focus on foreigners being banned from private facilities. Most of the posts are actually about more substantial issues such as foreign workers' rights. I'm surprised the film featured him trolling Kabukicho, because that really hasn't been his focus.
