[/floatr]A water main burst in the Nakahara area of Kawasaki at around 4:00pm on Wednesday. The photograph on the right was taken by a passer-by. The resulting flooding closed down roads, shops and disrupted water supply to local factories. It took around three hours to cap the flow but the explosion left a hole some 3 meters deep and 5 meters wide.
