i did Top Gun! Ok so i got the wrong branch in the rest of it but in my defense I hate Top Gun cause they made us play that stupid theme song from it endlessly in junior high band...i have things wrong with my head because of it.

Maybe someday we can all be better people and realize we are one race and many cultures, with a smattering of genetic differences to give us dark skin, small noses, different eye colors, and a silken pelt of body hair that even a Grizzly would envy...but not today. So today, we carry on, we accept their disbelief, we endure, an we come out the other stronger people for it.

Kanebo cosmetics users advised to visit hospitals

Seems that some users of Kanebo's skin whitening products have developed white spots...

An association of Japanese dermatologists is calling on users of the skin-whitening products made by Kanebo to visit hospitals for examinations.

The association has designated 81 hospitals that can carry out the procedure. It has also compiled treatment guidelines for doctors.

Dermatologists carrying out examinations at a hospital in Tokyo say they asked customers how long they had used the products and when they first noticed any problems.

One of the doctors says it is important for the customers to stop using the products.

He advises people who do not experience improvement in their skin condition to receive appropriate treatment, including photo-stimulation therapy.

Kanebo whitening creams spark 15,000 complaints

More than 15,000 people in Japan have been left with skin blotches caused by a chemical contained in popular skin-whitening creams, the maker of the products said Tuesday.

Japanese cosmetics giant Kanebo said it had received 15,192 complaints from Japan from users of 54 products containing the whitening chemical “Rhododenol”, in what has become an escalating public relations nightmare for the company.

A third of the complaints are from people with “serious” symptoms such as at least three blotches or a single patch of discolouration five centimeters or more in diameter, the company said in a press release.

More than 70 people abroad had reported a similar reaction, 54 of them in Taiwan and the others in Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand, a Kanebo spokeswoman said, adding there had been no complaints from mainland China.

“The number may rise somewhat hereafter but the pace is slowing down. We hope there will be no large increase,” she said...

Can Ury actually act, or is it more just that goofy arch-ironic stuff that seems to pass as acting lately? In that Youtube But We're Speaking Japanese skit he's not exactly convincing, though it is a great laugh.
