Couple of years back, we had an FG'er at a joint right off Aoyama-dori and Coligny Shinkan'd up from Nagoya to be there...
:cool2:

Just trying to rustle up a conspiracy theory... But I recall being there too, so unless there was some elaborate jiggery-pokery with a Coligny suit and Greji hushing between ends of the table, we'll have to come up with something else.

Wasn't he talking about moving into a new bunker? Maybe that's already in progress.

He doesn't have to worry. I'm too lazy to make the trip from Asakusa to Shibuya let alone Toyohashi.

Saigon Beating Hanoi Four Decades After Vietnam War

Almost four decades after the Vietnam War ended, Saigon has turned the tables on Hanoi, outstripping its conqueror in investment and growth.

The former southern capital, renamed Ho Chi Minh City but still widely known by its prewar name, contributes almost a quarter of the country's gross domestic product and the market capitalization of its stock index is seven times Hanoi's. Now, Saigon is upping the ante with plans to build a new airport that would increase capacity as much as fivefold.

Maybe the price of flights will go down.

Do I hear an ironic undertone?

It sounds like Choko is making something up. If not, he would be able to tell us what is going on.

OK, makes sense.

He's probably digging a nuclear bunker then.

After all, after Putin's recent remark that Russia is a great nuclear power, one can better be on the safe side...

Not wanting to put the cat :biggrin2: amongst the pigeons, but, dayum, fantastic weather they've been having in Toyohashi. I can't help feeling that this gentleman has graduated to better things that posting here.

I'm still undecided on whether he was caught up in the rapture, still in police custody for questioning (about a 3-week period isn't it?), had a mental breakdown, or is just trying to organize his life around something else than the Internet.

He still is not up to the number of posts of Mulboyne, but it is close. Is there some law that states the maximum number of posts on FG is around 15,000, before a user retires?

Anyway, I hope the best for him. If he decides to abandon the Internet, it would be nice to have a few words of goodbye...

I'm a little late to the party, not noticing until today that our resident prolific Parisian poster was AWOL.
Apparently it has been just over a month since he last posted. My first thought was that maybe McDee's had an all-you-can-eat cheeseburger special and he over imbibed, or maybe averaging 75 posts a day on FG finally took its toll, and he's in BBS rehab?

I hope not. That acerbic wit is great when I want to choke slam some nihonjos, A few chuckles here on FG and I calm right the hell out.

Provide evidence that your contact book is filled with single mothers / mildy crazy condiment-throwing young ladies ready to leave their underwear in compromising locations throughout the Choko-IpU Lemurdrome.

Frenchman dies after downing 56 shots

French police opened an investigation on Wednesday following the death of a man in his 50s after he downed 56 shots during a drinking competition.

The man, who was not named, was attempting to beat the previous record of 55 shots in a bar in Clermont-Ferrand in central France on Friday.

"He swallowed around 30 glasses in the space of a minute," a police source told AFP.

The man was driven home in a drunken stupor and emergency services took him in later that night.
