2.) First one I've seen but when I was looking for motor homes, I did see a few of them and trailers in Tokyo that were parked on tiny plots of land and hooked up to city elec/water. (though not sure if I want to guess how they handled waste...) The place I bought mine from said many of their customers bought plots of land like mine and didn't want to bother with construction so simply parked a large, expandable, trailer on land and hooked up utilities. Not a bad idea if your goal is just comfortable camping. (unless you have to deal with as much snow as I do)

"Tiny house" is another one that seems to be quite popular these days. Capsule hotels on wheels. Going back to a nomadic life syle might feel more natural to some. Gypsies FTW
