Having grown up in a house that was the dove equivalent of Aokigahara Jukai, that was just a testament to both the transparency of the acrylic window -- the fish just wanted some space like it could see on the other side of it -- and also to the strength of that window. Enough speed and force to break the fish's neck. That acrylic is 60 cm thick by the way. If you are in the area, a visit to the whale sharks is recommended, if only to make their life in captivity more interesting for them.
