This is a real, feature length movie. I have the DVD with me at home. It was reasonable, if a little tacky and not quite as good (?) as the trailer would have you believe, though it had a wonderful sense of humor.

There is a hoax piece in the February 2008 issue of GQ that has the same premise - that animals with no previous history of violence against humans have started to attack human beings in ways never seen before. It's an interesting read.
