Chadha - Over Thirty Years Before Jero

According to his Japanese Wikipedia entry, S.S. Chadha had some success back in the mid-seventies. He currently runs his own trading company back in India and was featured recently on a TBS show which, prompted by the success of Jero, looked at other foreigners who have made their mark singing enka.

He's back. ZakZak reports that the success of Jero has inspired Chadha to make a comeback. He's left his trading business in the hands of his wife and returned to Japan to oversee the re-release of some of his old hits. He also plans to record some new versions.

During the Indian premier's visit to Japan, Chadha was on hand to present him a copy of his CD.
