[/floatr]Megumi Sasaki has been based in New York for twenty years and works as a freelance journalist and film-maker for Japanese media companies. She originally made a name for herself with her coverage of the fall of the Berlin Wall for the Yomiuri Shimbun. She then developed a number of programme ideas for NHK Special before going independent. She is currently winning plaudits for her documentary "Herb and Dorothy" which is about a couple with modest means who built up an enormous collection of contemporary art. The film has just opened in New York and she talks about it in an interview here where she also mentions that her next project might be the "culinary story of fugu".
