travelling with two passports- JP/AU

Postby twww » Fri Feb 20, 2015 10:04 am

Need some clarification:

Wife is JP, I am Au, daughter was born in Au. Daughter holds both JP and AU passports.

Is the following correct:

Leave and enter Australia on her Australian passport, Enter and leave on her Japanese passport?

Won't there be inconsistencies with entry/exit stamps if using two passports?

As long as you enter and leave the same country with the same passport, there should be no problem.

Always worked with my kids.

Only problem that occurred was when my wife had the brilliant idea to let them enter the Netherlands on a Dutch passport and leave on a Japanese passport. Caused Dutch Immigration to think that they had entered illegally, since there was no entrance stamp in their Japanese passports.
