W.H.O. says: Covid-19 'may never go away'

Postby SovietSupreme » Thu May 14, 2020 5:57 pm

Dear Comrades:
The final death throes of Late Capitalism are upon us.

Bloomberg.com | May 14th, 2020, 8:44 AM GMT+0900
Covid-19 "may never go away," says Michael Ryan, head of the World Health Organization’s health emergencies program adding that the "massive moonshot" of finding a vaccine will be only the first step toward eradicating the disease...

Yes? And influenza has never gone away and kills more people per year than COVID-19 has, is doing, and most likely will.
Flu vaccines are a lottery cause the strain changes every year.

Honestly, use your brains, there are some agendas being driven here. Not by every one in authority or with too much money a la Bill Gates but there are definitely people with power seeking to shut down international travel even when the situation gets better, they want people to not organize together but dwell like good little state subjects at home and have 'remote dinner and drinking parties - a contradiction in terms - they want to eliminate cash use because they can then see everything.

A crisis is never wasted. If anybody wants to believe the official narrative, go right ahead. Some authorities sincerely believe crashing the economy is justified and climate change is also a factor in this. COVID-19 is highly infectious which understandably draws an over-reaction and it likes the lungs of old people and certain others.

But many have already had it and didn't know it - the usual course of events when a viral infection appears. Also hiding at home isn't going to end the pandemic or its worst effects as it will not give the number needed immunity from exposure. It's a nasty virus but it aint the worst. Fresh air and direct sunlight will help more people along with intelligent distancing and hygiene practices.

As for the dickheads wearing masks in fresh air when they are not near others - again, just proof of the agendas. COVID-19 aint airborne, you get it from being close to people esp groups and in places with not enough ventilation. The mask wearing outside of those situations is proof that people really are as stupid as the authorities pushing agendas want them to be.

Wangta, I think you are reading too much into it. It is unlikely that this virus was created intentionally.

Sure attempts to eliminate cash seems to happen, even in Japan. It is a bit scary what the Japanese government has in mind with the MyNumber card.

Sure, I will go ahead...

I don't think that many authorities like their economy crashing, because it creates social unrest, which is the last thing they want.

I do not understand your point about climate change. What has that to do with Covid-19?

The problem is that Covid-19 is not yet well-understood, so authorities are reacting on the side of caution. Building up herd immunity is indeed where we should be heading, but it should be done little by little, so that hospitals don't get overwhelmed. Saying that Covid-19 is no big deal ignores the horrible ways in which vulnerable people have died and are still dying. It is now becoming clear that Covid-19 is in fact not a disease of the lungs (the lungs are merely a convenient and efficient entry point), but it is rather a disease of the blood vessels.

This is the story in short: the Covid virus attaches itself to the ACE2 receptor. ACE2 is an important factor in regulating down the number of oxidants in the blood. As a result, the blood vessels get attacked from the inside, which in its turn creates clotting in the blood. Problem is that in many seriously ill patients there is too much clotting, causing thrombosis. I am talking about 50%.

Actually, Covid-19 is airborne, so wearing a mask when being nearby other people is probably not a bad idea. Outside there is more space and air circulation, so in that case there is not so much concern. But anyway, if people want to wear a mask outside, just let them. It doesn't hurt you, does it?

Instead of being concerned about authorities pushing their agendas, it is better to pay attention to what they do while everybody is distracted. Have you noticed that the age at which people can retire was increased from 70 to 75 this week? This is less than half a year after which they proposed to increase it from 65 to 70. It does not mean that people are forced to retire, but just that they'll receive less income if they retire before the age of 75. That's the way they are going to resolve the pension problem in Japan. Imagine all those people in workplaces shuffling around in rollators... LOL

Indeed, but you're giving the powers that be a bit too much credit for creativity and foresight here.
